ENTREMESES
1. CATALAN BREAD – escalivada 6,50 A delicious Catalan bread. Fresh bread grilled over charcoal, topped with bell pepper, aubergine, olive oil, and garlic. Served with Serrano ham or boquerone anchovies, as desired.
2. PATA NEGRA HAM – bellota 15,50 A plateful of Pata Negra ham that has been matured for 18 months – one of the best air-dried hams. The Ibérico pig has lived free, on a diet of mainly acorns, the source of the name ‘bellota’, meaning ‘acorn’.
3. BEEF – carpaccio 8,90 Beef carpaccio. Thin slices of beef fillet served with olive oil, black pepper, flower salt seasoned with Spanish smoked bell pepper, and Manchego cheese flakes.
4. TAPAS PLATE – platito de tapas 9,90 A selection of Spanish tapas, such as potato tortilla, Serrano ham, chorizo cuts, Manchego cheese, and marinated vegetables.
5. SCALLOPS – vieiras tostadas al josper 11,50 Fresh scallops and courgettes grilled on a Josper charcoal grill, served with thick garlic cream. A perfect warm starter for gourmands.
6. VEGETABLE SOUP – gazpacho 6,70 A fresh cold and full-flavoured tomato-based vegetable soup with diced cucumber, onion, bell pepper, and crisp bread croutons, all served separately as a side dish. Organic.
7. SHELLFISH SOUP – cremosa sopa de marisco al azafran 9,50 A shellfish soup flavoured with tomato, white wine, cognac, saffron, and a hint of cream. Served with dill–chives cream and a grilled giant prawn tail.
8. ESCARGOTS – caracoles gratinadas 9,50 Six snails served in a hot cast-iron pan, gratinated with garlic and Spanish cheeses. Served with white bread.
